Sometimes, a shoot comes together so perfectly that it feels like a fairytale—and that’s exactly how I felt while painting Briana and Andrew’s stunning styled shoot at The Sydonie Mansion in Mount Dora, Florida. Although Briana and Andrew weren’t getting married that day, their chemistry and the magic of the entire shoot made it feel like a real wedding celebration. As a live wedding painter, I had the honor of capturing the soft, romantic moments of their day, and I’m beyond excited to share the beauty of this shoot with you!

We had our normal rain shower in the afternoon and then in the evening golden light was streaming through the trees. The Sydonie Mansion, with its grand architecture, lush gardens, and romantic charm, set the perfect scene for this enchanted shoot. The venue itself felt like stepping into a storybook—a gorgeous, historic mansion surrounded by manicured gardens and elegant details.

The Dreamy Details That Made the Shoot Magical

What really brought this fairytale to life were the stunning florals by Perfectly Posh Florals. Soft dusty purples, romantic pinks, and lush greenery created an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. The florals perfectly complemented the rich autumnal vibe, and each arrangement felt like a piece of art in its own right. With intricate details and soft, muted colors, it was almost too beautiful to eat (though I’m sure it was just as delicious as it was beautiful). It was the kind of cake that not only tastes amazing but also serves as a work of art at the heart of the celebration.

And of course, Briana and Andrew were the perfect couple to showcase this dreamy vision. Their chemistry was undeniable, and Briana’s bridal look, with her satin gown and natural beauty, truly brought the fairytale theme to life. Watching them together—so full of love and joy—made capturing their connection with paint on canvas even more special.
